Wow, we had fun with this one. Our client purchased this property when it was still being used as Stauch Voster Architects’ Port Elizabeth office, and DMV Architecture was appointed to reimagine the building and adapt it to a completely new brief. The first step was to rethink the entire flow of the space, placing all public, client facing and meeting areas on the ground floor and moving the offices and workspaces upstairs. This created a clear sense of arrival and improved functionality from the moment you step through the door.

The existing interior was taken back to its shell, with every surface and material stripped out and replaced to suit the new vision. The updated layout introduced a number of high tech features along with carefully selected materials that give the building a fresh identity and create a powerful first impression for visitors. The result is a workspace that feels modern, intentional and entirely suited to our client’s needs. We are very proud of this transformation.
