DMV Architecture is an award winning-architectural practice based in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, working on projects across South Africa and beyond.
Our work spans private homes, commercial spaces, institutional developments and hospitality destinations, each defined by a deep understanding of place and purpose.
Founded in 2006 by Dal Venables, the practice began with a vision to create meaningful architecture that stands the test of time. What started as a one person studio has grown into a multidisciplinary team of more than twenty architects, technologists and designers who share a collective pursuit of design that is thoughtful and enduring.
In 2015, Neal Fisher joined the practice as partner, director and architect. With ten years of leadership and collaboration at DMV, Neal continues to shape the practice alongside Dal through a balance of experience, innovation and authenticity.
Together, they have built a studio that values process as much as outcome, where ideas are explored collaboratively and every project is seen as an opportunity to design with purpose and integrity.
Our approach is rooted in curiosity, technical understanding and a deep respect for the craft of architecture. Each project is guided by context, collaboration and a belief that good design should enhance the way people live and connect.

While much of our portfolio showcases high end residential work, our experience extends across commercial, retail and institutional projects throughout South Africa. We approach each brief without limitation, allowing creativity and context to guide the outcome.
