PROJECT 1733
This design was strongly guided by the constraints of the site, and much of the early process centred around a detailed analysis of the residence and its setting. The unusual shape of the property, combined with its specific orientation and surrounding conditions, required a sensitive and intelligent response. Rather than forcing a solution, we allowed the complexities of the site to inform the placement, flow and character of the home, resulting in a design that works with the land rather than against it.
The play between the building’s organic curves on the ground floor and the cantilevered geometric forms of the first floor became the defining expression of the architectural language. This contrast creates movement, lightness and a sense of crafted precision, bringing an elegant balance to the overall composition. It is a blend we describe as boutique — contemporary yet refined, expressive yet controlled, and tailored to both the site and the lifestyle of its owners.
