House Waterkant

Client: Pieter de Necker and Hannele Viljoen | Date: June 2021 | Type: Residential / Visualisation

Our role was to investigate ALL the opportunities that this existing property on the beach of Jeffreys Bay (Eastern Cape) had to offer. As it stands, the house has no dedicated entrance, no off-street parking and the internal spaces feel disjointed due to the split levels and the choice of accommodation per level.

Based on this, through 3D visualisation, DMV remodelled various spaces as well as created a link across levels and brought about a sense of modernism to the home. The roof was also changed to optimize the new internal space, to ensure a visual multi-level connection within. Through intervention and effective design, we transformed the flow of the home in addition to gaining sea views from all living areas!
