House Quinton
Client: Mr & Mrs Quinton | Date: November 2016 | Type: Residential
Upside down and inside out, that’s what this house was all about. To fulfill the brief of the project, the client and property was challenged with major design interventions. The existing home accommodated all bedrooms and living areas on the upper floor of the dwelling. Below this were a series of store rooms and pokey living areas with not much flow onto the existing garden and pool area. The completed project allowed for all the living areas to be moved downstairs with access from the new garage directly into the home. An additional area was added onto the front of the home through the careful use and design of steel and glass that assisted the home to link the downstairs and upstairs through a double volume area. The new addition allowed for both the upstairs and downstairs to now accommodate views into the garden and natural setting.
